The Aave decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) has partnered with Trident Digital, IntoTheBlock (ITB), and TokenLogic to launch the first onchain fixed-yield loan, valued at $100 million. This innovative product aims to provide stability and certainty for both borrowers and lenders with fixed rates and terms.

Anthony DeMartino, CEO of Trident Digital, highlighted the benefits of the new model, stating that it reduces unpredictability and market volatility by offering clarity around trade length and rate.

Traditional challenges in term debt access, particularly the illiquidity and volatility of governance tokens used as collateral, have been addressed through this collaboration. The fixed-yield loan links interest payments directly to the protocol’s revenue, providing a balanced solution for all parties involved.

Aave v3’s liquidity supports this initiative, with 33,000 ETH locked for three months, allowing lenders to receive aETH tokens for collateral. Additionally, Aave’s GHO stablecoin is now live on the Arbitrum network, further supporting this venture.
