Altcoin Analyst Labels Cardano, XRP, Worldcoin as Bad Tokensコインチェーン 仮想通貨ニュース

Points

  • Altcoin analyst Ran Neuner labels Cardano, XRP, and Worldcoin as “bad tokens.”
  • Neuner criticizes Cardano for lacking long-term utility in DeFi and having minimal daily transactions.
  • XRP’s declining significance in DeFi and erratic market performance are highlighted.
  • Worldcoin faces criticism for manipulation and poor tokenomics, with a significant portion of its supply locked.

Prominent altcoin analyst Ran Neuner has urged his followers to purge their portfolios of certain altcoins he dubs “bad tokens.” Among these are Cardano (ADA), XRP, and Worldcoin (WLD), which Neuner believes might not perform well in the anticipated parabolic bull run over the next 60 days.

Neuner’s critique of Cardano is particularly severe. He argues that ADA lacks long-term utility, especially in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. Issues such as the platform’s user-unfriendliness and minimal daily transactions are highlighted as major concerns. Additionally, Neuner points to the declining developer activity on Cardano, suggesting it contributes to its diminishing relevance compared to other blockchain networks. With ADA down around 85% from its 2021 all-time highs, Neuner’s skepticism about its future utility in DeFi appears justified.

For XRP, Neuner acknowledges its loyal following but criticizes its decreasing significance in the DeFi space. He mentions that newer and better projects have overrun XRP’s use case in DeFi. Furthermore, Neuner points out the erratic nature of XRP’s market performance, with notable spikes followed by rapid declines, indicating instability and unreliable growth.

Worldcoin faces even harsher criticism from Neuner. He cites allegations of manipulation and poor tokenomics as significant issues. According to data from TokenUnlocks, over 83% of Worldcoin’s total supply is locked, which could result in significant selling pressure once these tokens are unlocked. Neuner believes the extremely small circulating supply makes Worldcoin primed for destruction by unlocks. Crypto investigator ZachXBT has labeled it the “biggest scam token of the bull run,” accusing high-profile figures from Coinbase and FTX of failing to prevent price manipulations.

Neuner’s analysis extends beyond these three, with other altcoins like Litecoin (LTC) and Algorand (ALGO) also making his list of tokens to avoid. He criticizes Litecoin for its dwindling transaction volume and high costs relative to newer proof-of-work protocols. Algorand is disapproved due to its lack of real-world application and declining transaction volumes, despite its academic origins and promise of advanced smart contracts.

Additionally, Neuner’s views on other previous market darlings such as IOTA, Axie Infinity (AXS), and The Sandbox (SAND) are not optimistic. He notes IOTA’s network activity has stagnated, while both AXS and SAND suffer from reduced traction and interest, a far cry from their peaks during the 2021 bull run.

VeChain (VET), Quant (QNT), and EOS are other altcoins that faced criticism from Neuner. Most of these altcoins are significantly down from their days of glory in previous bull cycles, further supporting his call to avoid them.

解説

  • Neuner’s analysis offers a critical perspective on the future performance of certain altcoins, emphasizing the importance of utility and developer activity in assessing long-term value.
  • The criticism of Cardano, XRP, and Worldcoin highlights the challenges these projects face in maintaining relevance and market confidence amidst evolving competition and market dynamics.
  • Investors should consider the underlying fundamentals and market conditions of altcoins before making investment decisions, as speculative hype can often lead to volatile and unpredictable price movements.
