Cardano Founder Ends Speculation on Interoperability Roadmapコインチェーン 仮想通貨ニュース

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson confirms the inclusion of interoperability in Cardano’s original roadmap, highlighting the blockchain’s commitment to cross-chain collaboration and innovation.

Points

  • Charles Hoskinson confirms interoperability in Cardano’s roadmap
  • Partner chains and the Midnight Network play a key role
  • Chang hard fork and Cardano Node 9.1.0 release
  • Emphasis on identity, privacy, and interoperability
  • Upcoming on-chain decision-making features

In a recent interaction on X (formerly Twitter), Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson addressed community questions about the blockchain’s original roadmap. Responding to a query from a Cardano community member, Hoskinson confirmed that interoperability was indeed a part of Cardano’s initial vision and has been achieved with partner chains, notably with the Midnight Network being the first of many.

Hoskinson emphasized the importance of identity, privacy, and interoperability as defining features of next-generation blockchains during an event in Brazil. He underscored that these elements are crucial for driving mainstream adoption of blockchain technology.

One of the significant milestones in Cardano’s development is the upcoming Chang hard fork. The release of Cardano Node 9.1.0 marks a big step toward this hard fork, bringing on-chain decision-making to the platform. According to a Github release, Node 9.1.0 includes all necessary features to navigate the Chang hard fork, with notable differences from previous versions, such as the requirement of a Conway genesis file at launch.

The node release also introduces several bug fixes and enhancements to the CLI and API, including a “query treasury” command and changes to ensure compatibility with CIP69 and CIP119.

Explanation

  • Interoperability: The ability of different blockchain systems to communicate and work together seamlessly.
  • Hard Fork: A significant change to a blockchain network’s protocol that makes previously invalid blocks/transactions valid (or vice-versa). This usually requires all nodes or users to upgrade to the latest version of the protocol software.
  • CLI (Command Line Interface): A text-based user interface used to interact with software and operating systems.
  • API (Application Programming Interface): A set of rules and tools that allows different software applications to communicate with each other.
